Down Under Winners from North AmericaFive New Zealand bred pacers in Blaze On, Duke Of Cornwall, Golden Bay, Let’s N Joy and Franco Santana put up sub 1:50 winning miles in North America last week.
Blaze On, who took a new lifetime mark of 1:49.6 at Hoosier Park, is a six-year-old Sweet Lou gelding bred by the late Charles Roberts.
Franco Santana (by Captaintreacherous) and Let’s N Joy (by Bettor’s Delight) clocked miles in 1:49.2 and 1:49.8 respectively at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The former was bred by Spreydon Lodge and the latter by Torque Breeding Limited and Starmark Limited.
