A proposed update to the AMD P-State driver substantially improved Steam Deck frame-time consistency in early testing. On a Steam Deck running the Civilization VI benchmark, 1% low frame rate reportedly improved by 31.8%. The proposed per-core behavior attempts to improve responsiveness only where the scheduler observes sustained work.
