The online safety watchdog is trying to fine social messaging service Telegram $54m for allegedly breaching anti-terror rules. “Telegram has failed to remove pro-terror material on its service,” eSafety Commission Julie Inman Grant said on Thursday. “(It) has failed to remove pro-terror material after becoming aware of it, including after reports by Australian end user were made, and has failed to remove accounts, groups, and channels connected to that content.” More to come
