The Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2026 bottling will be launched at an open weekend on August 1 and 2, marking the seventh release in the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery's annual series. Matured in refill sherry hogshead casks, just 1,500 bottles will be available exclusively from the distillery in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire. Joe Clark, whisky director at Spirit of Yorkshire, said: "We firmly believe that some of the very best whisky to ever mature at our distillery comes from refill sherry casks. "This gentle process allows our light, fruity new make spirit to interact beautifully with the oak, resulting in a wonderfully complex and elegant flavour profile." Bottled at 55 per cent ABV, the whisky is described as "soft, fruity and complex with flavours of fruit cake, brioche, frangipane and chocolate-covered raisins" and priced at £95 per bottle.
