East Riding of Yorkshire Council received a C2 rating following a Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) inspection in April—the first under a new regulatory framework. "It was really positive to note that the inspectors reflected that tenants are treated with fairness and respect, supported by a very positive service culture." They also noted that the council offers tenancies matched to individual and community needs. East Riding of Yorkshire Council owns around 11,200 social and affordable rented homes, including 600 supported housing units. Cllr Lee said areas for improvement are already being addressed, with the aim of achieving the top C1 rating in future inspections.
