York Art Gallery's Making Waves: The Art of Japanese Woodblock Print exhibition will remain open for two extra days in August. The gallery is also hosting a variety of craft activities based on the exhibition throughout August. Details on specific events can be found on the York Art Gallery website. York Art Gallery's collection spans more than 600 years, featuring 14th-century Italian panels, 17th-century Dutch masterpieces, Victorian narrative paintings, and 20th-century works by LS Lowry and David Hockney. The gallery also boasts the most extensive collection of British Studio Ceramics, thanks to the acquisition of collections from Dean Milner–White.
