DIG in York is extending its How To Train Your Dragon School installation, based on the book series by children’s author Cressida Cowell, to celebrate the launch of a second book. The site’s dig pits let visitors uncover artefacts, and a new conservation laboratory will now show how fragile items are preserved once unearthed. The exhibition also features dragon-inspired replicas, imagining how objects from Hiccup’s world might appear today. It also includes a Viking boat inspired by The Hopeful Puffin, which is on display at the centre. DIG is open daily from 10am to 4pm, with tickets priced at £10.50 for adults and £9.50 for children.
