Prince William County Public Schools wrapped up a successful, first-of-its-kind summer meals program Wednesday that provided summer meal kits to families with kids under age 18. The Capital Area Food Bank's 2025 Hunger Report ranked Prince William County as the second-highest locality for food insecurity in the region, behind Prince George's County. The program was funded through a U.S. Department of Agriculture program that Prince William hopes will become a regular offering each summer.
