Bon Air is set to lose a bank branch. Wells Fargo confirmed in recent days that it plans to close its location at 9026 Forest Hill Ave. on Oct. 7. The Bon Air branch held $233.6 million in deposits as of last summer, the second most of any of the bank’s 11 branches in Chesterfield. Wells Fargo owns the Bon Air property, which it inherited from its acquisition of Wachovia. Many of the branches Wells Fargo has shuttered locally in recent years have found new life.
