A former Harrison Municipal Court employee will avoid jailtime if she completes a court intervention program but will never be able to hold public employment again after an investigation determined she stole funds from the very same court for which she worked, Det. According to Murphy:Earlier this year, the Harrison Police Department’s Detective Bureau, in coordination with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit, opened a criminal investigation following reports of misappropriated municipal court funds. The investigation established revealed bail money collected by the Harrison Municipal Court were unaccounted for on multiple occasions from September through December 2025. Sandwith had been employed by the Harrison court when the thefts occurred. On June 25, 2026, Sandwith entered Pretrial Intervention (PTI) in Hudson County Superior Court.
