Philippine merchandise exports reached a record $8.8 billion in June 2026 as growing demand for semiconductors used in artificial intelligence, Internet of Things devices, and hyperscale data centers boosted electronics shipments. Preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed that exports rose 24.1% from $7.1 billion in June 2025. For the first half of 2026, merchandise exports reached a record $46.72 billion, up 13.1% from $41.31 billion in the same period last year. The United States remained the country’s biggest export market in June, buying $1.76 billion worth of goods, or 20.1% of total exports. Hong Kong followed with $1.34 billion, China with $1 billion, Japan with $990.16 million, and Singapore with $508.18 million.
