Wes Moore on Wednesday announced that former Baltimore City Del. Tony Bridges will take over as Maryland Transit Administration administrator in September. The news comes one day after MTA Administrator Holly Arnold announced that she would resign after leading the administration for the last five years. “I am eager to continue the work and advance Governor Moore’s transit agenda of providing safe, efficient, and reliable transit across Maryland with world-class customer service.” Moore’s appointment of Bridges does not require Senate approval, so Bridges will take on the role of administrator on Sept. 1.
