This is Part 1 of a 3-Part series in which we describe how an FMCW radar finds the range of multiple stationary targets. We will see in this article how an FMCW radar is one of the most beautiful applications of this approach. We will discuss one particular kind of radar, Frequency Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW) radar, in this series. It is interesting to note that FMCW radar waveform bears similarities to Long Range (LoRa) physical layer.
