A Maskwacis man who laid down on the road is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in Wetaskiwin. Article contentThe driver of the vehicle stopped immediately after the incident and waited for the police. The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man from Maskwacis, was declared deceased at the scene. During their investigation, police determined the man had been laying on the road when he was struck by a vehicle. Geiger said it does not appear the man had been previously injured, was intoxicated or was suffering a medical incident prior to laying down on the road.
