The City of Wetaskiwin says Wetaskiwin Mayor Joe Branco can return to City Hall under certain conditions but aren’t saying what those conditions are, only that he hasn’t taken the steps to do so. Recently, the City released a statement saying they had received several inquiries about the mayor’s access to City Hall and explained council made the decision to restrict Branco’s access due to Occupational Health and Safety obligations but that he was given the opportunity to return to City Hall in May. Article content“In fulfilling its Occupational Health and Safety obligations as an employer, and in response to the mayor’s conduct toward City staff, the mayor’s access to City Hall was restricted. On Jan. 19, Administration implemented restrictions on Branco’s access to City Hall with Council’s approval. On May 21, Branco was given the opportunity to immediately return to City Hall, with some conditions.
