The sale saw 973 sheep, including 732 prime lambs and 241 cull ewes. The heavy lambs fetched a top price of £215 for a 64kg lamb from C S Owen. Lighter 39kg lambs achieved 405p/kg (£158) from W L Jerman & Sons, with 41kg lambs from the same home making 400p/kg (£164). Other well-bred, meated lambs traded at 370p-390p/kg. Heavy Welsh ewes were sold for £120 to £140, the plainer ones for £90 to £115, and the very plain ones for £50 to £75.
