Driver in hospital as ambulance service gives update on A49 crash

The crash was reported at 1.43pm on Wednesday (July 29) on the A49 at the junction with the A4137 near Pengethley, emergency services said.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the woman, who was driving the car, was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries before being taken to Hereford County Hospital.
Two men, a passenger in the car, and the van driver were assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment, they added.
Traffic was reported to be slow in the area after the crash, which took place on a stretch of the A49 connecting Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, with the A4137 towards St Owens Cross links the A49 with the A40 between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth.
West Mercia Police confirmed they were called to the crash at 1.50pm.
