A picture of a large hummingbird hawk moth was shared by Andrew Bowley with the Hereford Times Camera Club. The moths are known for their "distinguishable" wing motion, where they flap their wings so fast that they can appear orange. Butterfly Conservation said: "The moths are similar to bee hawk moths in flight, though the hummingbird hawk moth’s orange hindwings distinguish them in flight. The moths tend to have a wingspan of between five and 5.8 centimetres. The moths have a wingspan of between five and 5.8 centimetres, and can be attracted to gardens by people planting nectar-rich borders for them.
