Reform MP slated for asking questions about the secretive SAS
['James Thomas']
Hereford Times | News
During a defence debate, Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin claimed she had been told by a "reliable source" that former PM Sir Keir Starmer had never visited the special forces' headquarters.
"We neither confirm nor deny activities or visits to any special forces location."
The site serves as the headquarters of UK Special Forces and is home to a number of specialist units alongside 22 SAS.
As such, ministers routinely refuse to answer even basic questions relating to special forces activities, deployments or operations.
The policy, which became firmly established in the late 1980s, is often summed up as neither confirming nor denying anything connected to UK Special Forces.
