Delays are expected to last until March 2027 due to works on the A40 Over Bridge. Commuters travelling to Gloucester after 8pm can expect journey times to be extended by more than 20 minutes. The slip road linking the A417 Over Causeway to the A40 westbound is also closed 24 hours a day for the duration of the works. Those travelling westbound will not be able to turn right into Over Farm, Toby Carvery or Horseshoe Drive and will have to divert to the Highnam roundabout to turn around. The route takes drivers along the A417, A449, and A40.
