Brian Taylor was found dead in his room at the Campanile Hotel on Lowlands Road, near Runcorn railway station, on Friday, July 17. An inquest into the death of the 48-year-old man was opened at Cheshire Coroner’s Court in Warrington on Wednesday. A welfare check was made by hotel staff following a call from a family member. Coroner’s officer PC Chris Birchall requested that an inquest be held due to the cause of death being unnatural. “Therefore, I formally open the inquest into the death of Brian Taylor and adjourn for further work to be undertaken for an inquest on January 12, 2027.”
