Police vestKINGSTON, Jamaica — Two suspects, one a female, were detained after police shot up a motor vehicle reportedly transporting weapons at the Portmore Toll Road exit in St Andrew on Tuesday night. It is understood that the female, who is from Naggo Head in Portmore, St Catherine, was hospitalised after the incident. Upon exiting the toll road behind the suspects’ vehicle, the police, in a bid to stop them, went ahead of the minibus. The suspects, the police reported, collided in the rear of the service unit and both vehicles came to a stop. The suspects were taken to hospital, where the female was admitted and the man treated and taken into custody.
