Thousands of Labour Party members decamped with Jim for the New Labour Party and then the Alliance, forsaking the treachery of Labour ministers,” says Mr Robson. Alliance Party Leader Victor Billot welcomed the film's release, saying that the newly re-established Alliance is carrying on the legacy of the original Alliance and New Labour Party founded by Anderton. Last Man Standing premieres at Auckland’s Sky City Theatre on Saturday, 1 August at 3:30 PM, followed by screenings nationwide throughout the NZIFF season.
