During the early morning hours of July 29, 2026, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies coordinated across state lines to execute arrests in Louisiana and Ohio. Louisiana Arrests: Officers with the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force apprehended 19-year-old Kaden Anderson of Clinton, Louisiana, who was wanted in connection with the shooting. Smith is currently being held at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office pending extradition back to Mississippi.
