Ireland’s Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Nevada Gaming Control Board. In doing so, the GRAI have formally agreed to collaborate with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, one of the oldest gaming authorities globally, as part of their new licensing scheme for on-line bookmakers. Anne Marie Caulfield CEO of the GRAI described the knowledge/experience of the Nevada Gaming Control Board in regards to regulating gambling as “very useful” to the GRAI. The Ireland’s Gaming Regulatory Authority has indicated that they will pursue High Court action against prediction markets operating in Ireland who do not have the proper license. Any operator providing remote gaming services in Ireland must be licensed by GRAI since January 1, 2026.
