The Vander-Ende Onderdonk House is currently closed for renovation and is slated to open in August 2027.
On July 25, the Onderdonk House hosted movie night, where guests got to bring their picnic blankets to sit in the back lawn to watch the 1939 classic animated film “Gulliver’s Travels.”
“We currently have some construction projects going on,” said Arianna Stimpfl- Fernandez, President of the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society.
The Onderdonk House is the oldest Dutch Colonial stone house in New York City, dating back to 1660.
In 1977, the Onderdonk House and its property was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
