The City of Miami Beach marked a major milestone today as public and private partners celebrated the topping off of the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, the long-awaited 800-room headquarters hotel that will connect directly to the Miami Beach Convention Center. “Reaching this milestone marks another defining moment in bringing Grand Hyatt Miami Beach to life,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Located at 17th Street and Convention Center Drive, Grand Hyatt Miami Beach will provide seamless access to the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center. “Following our $640 million reimagining, a connected headquarters hotel has been the missing piece of the Miami Beach Convention Center campus,” said Freddie Peterson, General Manager of the Miami Beach Convention Center. The Grand Hyatt Miami Beach will further strengthen our role as an economic engine—attracting new visitors, supporting local businesses, creating jobs and generating lasting economic impact throughout Greater Miami and Miami Beach.”
