An update from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service shortly after 7am this morning (Thursday, July 30) confirmed the incident was now closed, with the fire having been extinguished by shortly after 1am. A fire service spokesman said: "Fire control mobilised crew from Cheddar to report of a fire on Shute Shelve Hill. "Upon arrival, crews immediately requested three further fire engines and an off road vehicle which was mobilised from Cheddar, Burnham-on-Sea and Winscombe." 11.33pm - Crews requested the drone from Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). 12.48pm - Crews requested the attendance of an all terrain vehicle from Nether Stowey for off road capability.
