The council shared its intention to construct road humps on High Street, Portishead, outside specific shops, while revoking existing speed humps near Portishead Funeral Services. The council also announced the installation of new pedestrian crossings at High Street and Felton Lane, Winford, near The Prince of Waterloo public house and adjacent to Winford Primary School. Slade Road, Portishead, will close from Monday, August 3, for approximately five days for sewer lining works by Wessex Water Services. Lower Queens Road, Clevedon, will close for carriageway and footway resurfacing works from Monday, September 14, for approximately 20 days. Barrow Lane, Winford, will close on Thursday, October 22, for Wessex Water Services to replace cover and frame.
