Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Southmead Hospital Charity have joined together to become the one united charity partner for the newly formed Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (BFT).
The move follows the merger of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) and North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT), which brought together 13 hospitals under BFT.
Katie Walker, chief executive of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity, said: "This is a proud moment, bringing together the work of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Southmead Hospital Charity to now support every hospital across our region.
"One NHS trust, one NHS charity and one full-hearted community – we can’t wait to welcome the Southmead Hospital Charity team and do even more great things together."
Southmead Hospital Charity recently marked 30 years of supporting care and research, including projects ranging from personalised prosthetics to Parkinson’s support and research.
