"We seek assurances that no short or medium-term thinking exists within the PSNI concerning the closure of Lisnaskea Police Station. Mr Donaldson added that Lisnaskea Police Station remained an important deterrent to those involved in terrorism and organised crime. "To remove Lisnaskea station at this time would create a criminal paradise and leave local people across this wide area extremely vulnerable," he added. Responding to the speculation, a PSNI spokesperson said: "There are currently no plans to close Lisnaskea Police Station or to move any of the officers currently based at the station. "Lisnaskea station remains an operational base and there are no immediate plans for this to change."
