Popular climbing attraction turns away visitors for missing key safety rules

Inverclyde Leisure’s X-Height said some attendees either arrive late or wear unsuitable footwear, meaning they can’t take part.
Those arriving part-way through their booked slot will not be allowed to join, and only trainers are permitted for climbing.
Crocs, sandals, sliders, and open-toe shoes are not allowed.
Inverclyde Leisure aims to avoid disappointment but must prioritise safety by enforcing check-in times, briefings, and harness fitting before every session.
