Lucy McKeegan and partner Calum Jamieson, a Greenock firefighter, were on their latest adventure to the French Alps to scale Mont Blanc when disaster struck.
Frantic Calum and a guide scrambled to help, with mountain rescue teams from both France and Italy initially trying to reach her by helicopter in treacherous weather.
