ADM Southport facility earns national workplace safety awardsCorn (Photo: Nate Mauldin/WWAY)SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — ADM’s Specialty Ingredients facility in Southport has earned national recognition for its workplace safety performance, receiving two awards from the Corn Refiners Association for maintaining high safety standards over the past year. ADM officials said the awards reflect the company’s commitment to protecting employees and fostering a culture where workplace safety is a daily priority. CRA President and CEO John Bode said the corn refining industry has made significant strides in workplace safety over the past two decades. “Corn refining in the U.S. is one of the safest jobs in manufacturing, on par with office work,” Bode said. The Southport facility is among several corn refining operations nationwide recognized for workplace safety achievements during the association’s annual awards program.
