St Hugh’s near Faringdon is set to be one of the first UK prep schools to install padel courts. The courts are to be installed for students, but will be opened up to the public outside of school hours and in school holidays. The application is in partnership with Padel People, a UK padel company, whose co-founder George Sanbach is a former pupil at the school. Calling itself 'Oxfordshire's first indoor padel club' the area will have three doubles courts and one single court. However, Faringdon resident James Coxeter expressed concern saying the location is "wholly unsuitable" and questioning if access to the courts will be improved before the courts are built.
