Daniel Walsh launched an attack on busker Colin Griffith in Bonn Square on February 14 this year. The 35-year-old had been due to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court, but pleaded guilty to the offence on July 29. Traffic, including buses, was at a standstill on Queen Street as police officers parked their vehicles to deal with the incident. Members of the public were giving statements with the force approaching shoppers around Westgate and Queen Street, as well as onlookers. A man in his 60s was busking in Bonn Square when "his earnings were taken, and he was subsequently assaulted", said the force.
