Now friends and fellow musicians are coming together to honour his legacy with an all-day festival at The Kings Lock in Middlewich on Saturday, September 12. Among those set to perform are Famous First Words, The Zangwills and Five Bar Blues, alongside former pupils of Dave’s, including members of the Kings Lock community guitar club. Away from the spotlight, Dave made a significant contribution to the local music scene. Martin said: "Dave was an amazing musician and a huge part of the local music scene. Middlewich artist and illustrator Ian Hill Smith has also designed a commemorative T-shirt, which organisers say will provide a lasting tribute to Dave and his contribution to the local music community.
