AutomationSG has launched a framework for companies deploying artificial intelligence (AI) in industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, and operational technology environments. The Trusted Industrial AI Ready (TIA-Ready) Framework will provide a staged pathway for assessing whether and how AI should be deployed in industrial operations. AutomationSG said TIA-Ready is benchmarked against ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. Singapore Polytechnic will serve as its training partner, with the first Industrial AI and Governance Literacy programme scheduled to begin in October. “TIA-Ready complements these national initiatives by moving industrial AI governance to the point where an organisation first decides whether and how AI should be used,” AutomationSG said.
