ANAHEIM, Calif. — Yainer Diaz went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored as the Houston Astros rallied from a three-run deficit to complete a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels with a 7-4 victory on Wednesday. Jeremy Pena homered, Jose Altuve had two hits and scored a run and Cam Smith added a two-run double for Houston, which won for the eighth time in nine games. The Astros scored three times in the sixth inning, highlighted by Smith’s two-run double, to go in front 5-3. The visitors extended the lead to 6-3 an inning later on an RBI single by Diaz, driving in Altuve, who had singled. Diaz added an RBI single in the ninth inning to finish the scoring.
