The Joliet Slammers and the City of Joliet will host Jesse Barfield Night on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Slammers Stadium. Founded in 1951, Belmont Little League stands as the only officially chartered Little League organization operating in Joliet. Central to this modern era is the rapid rise of its Little League Softball division. Sanctioned by Little League International, the program serves youth athletes across Joliet School Districts 86 and 204. Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. outside the stadium entrance with a plaque ceremony rededication for the permanent bronze Jesse Barfield statue that has stood at the gate since 2003.
