Great Barrington — In a press release issued by Town Manager Liz Hartsgrove on Wednesday, July 29, she announced that the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Berkshire County. According to Hartsgrove, heavy rainfall is possible this afternoon of up to two inches, adding to the heavy rainfall earlier in the day. Even shallow moving water can be dangerous, and road conditions beneath the water may be compromised. Stay away from swollen streams, drainage channels, and other rapidly moving water. Monitor local weather conditions and be prepared for changing conditions throughout the afternoon.
