THE LAZY BERKSHIRE GARDENER: Week of July 30, 2026
['Jodi Cahillane', 'Written By']
The Berkshire Edge
They will lose leaves this fall, but in spring they put out spurs of new growth and flowers.
Late-fruiting canes have not set flowers or fruit yet.
The plant only produces one or two flowers at the top, but the foliage feeds deer, rabbits, and more animals.
Alternatives can keep pests away from your favored plants.
I call myself the Lazy Berkshire Gardener because I don’t want to work too hard in my gardens.
