The University of Alabama will join George Washington University, the College of William & Mary, Lafayette College, the University of Virginia and Columbia University at Entente Cordiale Day, an international academic competition among universities in the United Kingdom and France. Entente Cordiale Day brings together top academic institutions to “produce, discuss, and develop solution-focused research on today’s most pressing global issues.” “Being selected for the inaugural U.S. Entente Cordiale Challenge is a tremendous opportunity for our students,” said UA Provost Lesley Reid. Entente Cordiale Challenge was established in 2024, and it involves an academic competition and final summit. University students from any major or degree level are eligible to participate in Entente Cordiale Day and can apply this fall.
