Peter M. Duke, age 79 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in Norwalk Hospital surrounded with love by his family. Born in Derby on December 7, 1946, he was a son of the late Peter and Lillian (Pelesh) Duke. Letter Carrier for the Town of Seymour, Peter loved his job and the many friends he made along the way. Peter was very involved with the Town of Seymour and was a lifetime member of the Seymour Historical Society. Peter is survived by his loving children, Jennifer French and her husband Jason of Ansonia, John Duke and his wife Susan of Seymour, and Stephanie Duke of Ansonia; cherished granddaughter, Natasha Duke; beloved siblings, David Duke and his wife Ginny of Oxford, and Diane Dirzius and her husband John of Wallingford, as well as several adored nieces and nephews.
