BYD CARS Philippines expects electric vehicle (EV) sales to remain strong for the rest of the year, citing the Marcos administration’s support for wider EV adoption. On Tuesday, the company launched the BYD Atto 2 and BYD Seal 5 DM-i. The BYD Atto 2 is offered in a battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant and a Super DM-i plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variant. The BYD Atto 2 BEV has a suggested retail price of P1.34 million, while the BYD Atto 2 DM-i Premium is priced at P1.26 million and the BYD Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic at P1.05 million. The models carry suggested retail prices of P948,000 for the Essential variant and P1.05 million for the Dynamic variant.
