FARMINGDALE – It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Carol Auger, born on Dec. 23, 1944, passed away on July 27, 2026, while surrounded by family after a courageous fight with Parkinson’s Disease. Carol was born Carol Andrews to Ella and Hugh Andrews in Hallowell. While in high school, Carol went to a dance at the Augusta Armory and met the love of her life, Lawrence “Larry” Auger. Together, Carol and Larry raised three children; daughters, Sharon (Auger) Hayden, and Susie (Auger) Sanborn, and son Jeffrey Auger (Jeff). We would like to thank Maine Veterans’ Home for the care Carol received while there for the past two years.
