The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has recently shared posts on social media alerting the public to prepare for TVET Month in August. This initiative on behalf of the department – to promote and evangelise Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges – comes around every year, but government is looking to make 2026 a bumper edition. “Get Ready for TVET Month – Here’s What’s in Store! DHET is going all out—bringing you a full lineup of impactful programmes, real opportunities, and future-focused skills,” DHET writes in an announcement. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the DHET gives us no links for us to follow or additional information to prepare for TVET Month, so we’ve had to find our own.
