On top of that villain mentioned in the synopsis, Brand New Day also brings back supporting cast from previous Spider-Man movies and heroes from other MCU projects, including Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. The difference between Brand New Day and the previous Spider-Man movies is quite jarring, in a good way. With the credits arriving sooner than we like we can now say that this one may be the best Spider-Man movie of the Holland era. For us, Spider-Man: Brand New Day delivers on its premise, its attempt at being a fresh start for this Spider-Man and its more earnest approach to everything.
