According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is getting ready to launch its own version of a smart speaker with a screen, called the Home Hub.
If that sounds familiar, it’s because Amazon and Google have both sold similar devices for years with the Echo Show and Nest Hub.
The screen will show visual responses when you talk to Siri, similar to how Alexa works on the Echo Show.
Apple is working on a refreshed Apple TV box and an updated HomePod mini, both expected to launch this fall alongside or shortly before the Home Hub.
None of this is confirmed by Apple, and launch timing on unreleased products has slipped before.
