Apple has just announced the launch of “Apple Upgrade,” a new hardware leasing program that lets users pay for iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad devices with a monthly fee.
Apple Upgrade comes as a result of a team-up with Klarna, and replaces Apple’s long-running iPhone Upgrade Program and iPhone Payments options.
With the new program, buyers can choose 12 or 24-month lease terms for iPhone and Apple Watch, or 24 and 36-month terms for Mac and iPad.
Monthly prices start at $11.99 for Apple Watch and iPad, $17.99 for iPhone, and $24.99 for Mac.
As mentioned earlier, Apple Upgrade replaces the older iPhone Upgrade Program in the U.S., and current iPhone Upgrade Program members will have the option to switch over to Apple Upgrade, change to Apple Card Monthly Installments, use carrier financing, or buy their next device outright once eligible.
